Named exclusive flight and hotel provider for Yahoo Travel

SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 28, 2014) — Hipmunk, the fastest and easiest way to plan travel, has integrated with Yahoo Travel to provide its users access to Hipmunk’s travel search offerings, including more than 1 million accommodations and Hipmunk’s unique visual user experience.

“After our recent funding round, forging alliances that introduce Hipmunk to new audiences is a key part of our growth strategy,” said Adam Goldstein, CEO and co-founder of Hipmunk. “We’re excited to offer our experience to a new set of users while enabling Yahoo Travel to provide its users a great metasearch experience.”

Users who visit Yahoo Travel—on desktop or mobile web—and perform a flight or hotel search are seamlessly transferred to results on the Hipmunk website. From there, they can take advantage of the user experience and popular features for which Hipmunk has become known.

For flights, users can use the “agony” filter which sorts flights by price, duration, and number of stops, so that the most convenient options are shown first. Those who search for hotels see them sorted by “ecstasy” which filters by price, amenities, and reviews. In addition, hotel searchers are able to refine hotel results by proximity to a particular point of interest by using the interactive map.
